Private Peter Anderson

Private Peter Anderson, 5th(Reserve) Battalion, Cameronians. He died on Service, aged 18, on the 2nd March 1918. He had been Born in Dysart, Fife and was the son of Alexander and Helen Anderson of St Andrew’s Street, Galashiels and 27 Crookston Gardens, Dalkeith. He had been an apprentice joiner before enlisting and had suffered an embolism following tonsilitis. He died in the Auxiliary Hospital Leven, Fife and is buried in Abbotshall Parish Churchyard, Kirkcaldy, Fife. His Headstone is inscribed ” Until The Day Dawns”.
