Private James Keddie Brydon, 5th ( Service ) Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He was killed in action in France, aged 20, on the 17th October 1916 during the Battle of the Somme. He was born in Galashiels and was the son of Georgina and the late John Brydon of Galahill Lodge, Galashiels. The photos show Scots troops on the Somme.
