Private Henry Brydon, 1st/4th (Territorial) Battalion, Gordon Highlanders. He died in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, aged 20, on the 12th August 1918 and is buried in Eastlands Cemetery, Galashiels. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of Thomas and Joan Brydon of Halliburton Place, Galashiels. He had enlisted in May 1916 and was wounded and suffered gas poisoning in January 1918 before contracting pleurisy. He was discharged from the Army but died in hospital.
