Warrant Officer Hamilton Douglas

Warrant Officer Hamilton Alexander Douglas, Royal Australian Air Force. He was killed in a flying accident at R.A.F. Charterhall on 18th March 1944 aged 21. He was the son of Stuart and Hilda Douglas of Dee Why, New South Wales, Australia and is buried in Fogo Churchyard which is nearby to the village of Fogo. ( His name is not on the Fogo War Memorial ). He was flying a Miles Martinet trainer when it crashed on take off from Charterhall. and was destroyed. His Headstone is inscribed ” To Live In Hearts We Leave Behind Is Not To Die “.
