Private Joseph Harvey

Private Joseph Harvey, Driver, 1st Auxiliary Motor Transport Coy. Army Service Corps. He died at Home, aged 39, on 25th July 1918 and is buried in Edrom Churchyard. He had been born in Cornhill-on-Tweed and  was the son of Andrew and the late Isabella Harvey of Blackadder Mains, Chirnside and Ayton law, Ayton. He had been employed as a ploughman when he enlisted in December 1915. He became ill in 1918 and was discharged from the Army but died from pneumonia at his parent’s home at Blackadder Mains, Edrom
