Private Robert Ross Forbes, 2/13th Battalion, Australian Infantry Forces. He was killed in the Western Desert, North Africa on 21st August 1942, aged 33. He had been born in Boyndie, Banff and was the son of William and the late Margaret Margaret Forbes of Greenlaw, Berwickshire and is buried in El Alamein War Cemetery. He had emigrated to Australia and had enlisted i Paddington, New South Wales.
