Corporal James Ras Reid, Royal Air Force. He died on Active Service in Egypt on 7th December 1941, aged 21. He was the son of Robert and Margaret Reid of East Ord, Northumberland and is buried in Fayid War Cemetery, Egypt. His Headstone is inscribed ” In God’s Own Garden Now At Rest Peacefully Sleeping Lies One Of The Best “.
