Private Walter Anderson, 6th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in action in Holland on 24th December 1944, aged 26 and is buried in Venray War Cemetery, Limberg, Holland. He had been born in 1919 in Moffat, Dumfriesshire and was the son of the late William and Mrs Anderson of Eskdalemuir and ” Greenview”, Denholm. The photos show the K.O.S.B. in late 1944.
