Private Thomas Gray, 13th ( Service ) Battalion, Royal Scots. He died in Germany , aged 26, as a Prisoner of War on 23rd October 1918 and is buried in Berlin South West Cemetery. He had been born in Cockburnspath and was the son of Thomas and Janet Gray of Cove, Cockburnspath. He had landed with his Battalion in France in July 1915 but was captured near Vermelles in May 1916. He died in the Working Camp at Wulkae near Stendal, Germany.
