Private James Anderson

Private James Anderson, 17th ( Service ) Battalion Royal Scots. He died on Active Service in France on 16th May 1916 in No. 3 General Hospital of broncho-pneumonia, aged 20,  and is buried in Le Treport Military Cemetery, Seine-Maritime, France. He was the son of John Anderson of 5 Melgund Place, Hawick and before enlisting he was a farm servant with  Mr Grieve of Southfield, Hawick.
