Private William J.Proudlock, Royal Scots ( Depot ). He died at Home on 23rd July 1916, aged 22. He was the son of Robert Proudlock of 24 Main Road, Tweedmouth and is buried in Ayton Parish Churchyard, Ayton, Berwickshire. He had been wounded in France during the Battle of the Somme and had lain in a trench for two days before being rescued.
