Private William Fryer ( possibly ) 2nd Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in Belgium on 10th January 1915 and is commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. At that time the Battalion were in frontline trenches near Neuve Eglise and suffered casualties from intermittent shelling.
