Private Walter Robson

Private Walter Robson, 17th ( Service ) Battalion ( 3rd Glasgow ), Highland Light Infantry. He was killed in action in Belgium on 2nd December 1917, aged 28. and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Flanders, Belgium. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Robson of 20 Hide Hill, Berwick and the husband of Robina Carr Robson of 22 Drummond Street, Edinburgh. He had originally enlisted in the K.O.S.B. but had transferred into the H.L.I. ( In its early stages the Battalion was known as the ” Glasgow Chamber of Commerce ” Battalion.
