Private Thomas Gibson

Private Thomas Gibson, 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots. He died as a Prisoner of War in Hong Kong on 19th July 1942, aged 23. He was the son of William and Isabella Gibson of Berwick and is buried in Sai Wan War Cemetery, Hong Kong. The Battalion was part of the defending force and many of its men were captured when Hong Kong fell to the Japanese on 25th December 1941. His Headstone is inscribed ” Though Absent You Are Ever Near, Still Loved, Still Missed And Ever Dear”.
