Flying Officer Raymond Clarke

Flying Officer Raymond Clarke, Royal Air Force. He was lost on Air Operations with 139 ( Jamaica ) Squadron  R.A.F. on 15th July 1943, aged 24. He was the son of Reginald and Margaret Clarke of Berwick and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. At that time the Squadron flew the magnificent De Havilland Mosquito B1V from R.A.F. “Wyton”, Cambridgeshire and were a Pathfinder Unit for the Main Bomber force.
