Gunner Daniel Glass, 13th Coy., Royal Garrison Artillery. He died at Home on 19th January 1916, aged 26. He was the son of Mrs E. Glass of 45 Church Street, Berwick and is buried in Felixstowe New Cemetery. His Headstone is inscribed ” Peace Perfect Peace”. The R.G.A. used the 9.2 inch howitzer to destroy enemy strongpoints and trench systems with its plunging fire. They also used the 60 pounder gun and this one shows one with its new camouflage. These artillery pieces were used on targets well behind the front lines.
