Sergeant Andrew Cockburn, 1st Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died on Service at Home on 9th February 1916, aged 29. He had been born Berwick and was the son of James and Margaret Cockburn of Ness Street, Berwick and is buried in Berwick-upon-Tweed Cemetery. His brother John also died on Active Service. He had taken part in the Gallipoli Campaign and had been invalided home after four months suffering from Dysentery and Typhoid Fever.
