Private Philip Hall

Private Philip Hall, 16th Battalion, Australian Infantry. He died in hospital in Alexandria, Egypt on 16th May 1915, aged 23, of wounds received in action during the fighting at Gallipoli. He was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Hall and had been born in Bamburgh. He is buried in Alexandria ( Chatby ) Military and War Memorial Cemetery, Alexandria, Egypt. His brother Albert also fell ( see below ). The photos were taken at Anzac Cove in 1915.
