Sergeant James Robert Cockburn Duns, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He was lost on Active Service on 13th January 1945 aged 19. He was the son of William and Agnes Chisholm Duns of Ayton and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. His aircraft a Consolidated Catalina was with the Ferry Training Unit and was lost with all 9 crew members in transit to Gibraltar.
