Fusilier Thomas Wait

Fusilier Thomas Wait, 9th Battalion, Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. He died of dysentery on 28th May 1943, aged 27, whilst a Prisoner of War of the Japanese working on the Burma -Siam railway and is buried in Kanchanburi War Cemetery, Thailand. He had been captured at the fall of Singapore in February 1942. His brother William had fallen during the defence of Singapore (see above for details).
