Lance Corporal John Todd, 2nd Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in Belgium on 9th April 1915 aged 21. He was the nephew of John Todd of Main Street, Norham and is buried in Blauwepoort Farm Cemetery, Belgium. At that time the Battalion were in Sector C of the Line and were preparing for yet another assault on the infamous Hill 60 which was a notorious hotspot in the Ypres Salient. The Hill was subjected to many attacks and counter attacks with heavy casualties on both sides and the artist’s impression tries to depict yhis.
