Private John Robertson

Private John Robertson, 1st Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. He died, aged 33, in the 83rd General Hospital, Boulougne on 27th March 1918, of wounds received in action  in France during the German March Offensive, aged 33. He was the son of Adam and Mary Robertson of West End, Norham and is buried in Boulogne East Cemetery, France. Before enlisting he had been employed first as a passenger clerk at Norham Station and then as Head Clerk by the North East Railway at Hexham Station.
