Seaman John Davidson

Seaman John Davidson  Royal Naval Patrol Service. He was lost at sea aboard H.M. Trawler “Tervani” on 7th February 1943 aged 41. He was the son of Robert and Alice Davidson of Norham, the husband of Esther Agnes Davidson of Norham and is commemorated on the Lowestoft Naval Memorial. The “Tervani was an Admiralty requisitioned trawler and was employed  as a Minesweeper and general patrol vessel. She sunk by a torpedo from the Italian Submarine “Ajjacio” whilst towing a French Water carrier off Cape Bougaroun, Algeria . There were only 2 survivors.
