In loving memory of ISABELLA RAE the beloved daughter of ALEXANDER and SOPHIE ROSS who died 9th Dec 1892 aged 3 years.

Also the daughter SOPHIA SIMPSON who died 10th May 1898 aged 3 weeks.

Also their son ALEXANDER WILLIAM Cnr R.G.A. who died at Nazareth 21st October 1918 aged 23 years. Intered in the Military Cemetery Palestine.

Also the above ALEXANDER ROSS who died at Swinton 15th June 19 ??? aged ??

Military record

Gunner Alexander Ross, 10th Mountain Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. He died of malaria on 21st October 1918, aged 23. He was the son of Alexander and Sophia Ross of Swinton and is buried in Haifa War Cemetery, Palestine. He had two brothers serving, Peter who was with the K.O.S.B.in France and James who was an Air Mechanic in England.
