Erected by ANDREW LUGTON Swinton in memory of his son PETER who died 19th March 1857 aged 5 years. Also his son ANDREW P. LUGTON who died 4th January 1859 aged 1 year 7 months. Also his son CHARLES who died 20th July 1859 aged 5 years 9 months. And of his son GEORGE who died 17th July 1861 aged 2 years.

WILLIAM LUGTON son of the above and beloved husband of RACHEL DICKSON who died at Swinton 21st March 1932 aged 66 years. Also RACHEL DICKSON who died 1st October 1956 aged 82 years.
