Erected by ARCHBOLD SIMSON in memory of wife JANET THOMSON who died 10th October 1842 aged 76 years.

Also the above ARCHIBALD SIMPSON who died 10th December 1847 aged 84 years. Daughter in law JESSIE EMRY wife of JOHN SIMPSON died 20th February 1870 aged 62 years.

Also the above JOHN SIMPSON died 3rd March 1974 aged 72 years. Their youngest son THOMAS died at Cruicksfield 19th March 1920.
