Erected by George Atchison in memory of his son Robert Atchison who died at Shoreswood Colliery March 16th 1878 aged 10 months.

Also Sarah Atchison his daughter who died at Horncliff Mains April 19th 1883 aged 11 years.

Also the above George Atchison who died at Warenton October 22nd 1922 aged 80 years.

Also Margaret Ann Atchison who died at Shoreswood Colliery April 10th 1927 in her 83rd year.
