Also William son of the above who fell at Singapore February 1942 aged 32 years.

Also Elsie Catto wife of the above John Murray who died 20th August 1962 aged 89 years.

Also Thomas Catto son of the above who died 20th i<.ay 1970

Also John Murray eldest son of John and Elsie tdurray who died 7th October 1978 aged 72 years.

Commentary

Sergeant William Murray, 9th Battalion Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. He was killed during the fighting for Singapore between 15th and 18th February 1942 and is buried in Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore
