Erected by John STEEL in loving memory of his wife Mary Ann STEEL who died at Shoreswood Colliery August 15th 1904 aged 71 years.

Also Euphemia their daughter who died at Norham May 17th 1860 aged 5 days.

Also Nathaniel their son who died at Norham August 16th 1866 aged 14 months.

Also the above John STEEL who died April 29th 1808 aged 76 years.
