Erected in memory of GEORGE BELL who died at the Hirsel 7th July 1839 aged 51 years.

Also ELIZABETH BELL his wife who died at Fireburn Mill January 11th 1867 aged 77 years. 

Also GEORGE BELL of the Hirsel son of the above who died in the New Royal Infirmary 19th June 1881 aged 66 years, 

Also MARGARET COCKBURN his wife who died at the Hirsel March 31st 1914 aged 91 years.

In memory of MARGARET KERR wife of JAMES BELL who died at Horsely April 28th 1847 aged 28 years.

ELIZABETH their daughter died December 14th 1842 aged 3 years. GEORGE their son died February 10th 1843 aged 5 months.

Also the above JAMES BELL who died at Bennington, Midlothian 14th November 1887 aged 71 years interred in Ratho Churchyard.
