Erected by ARCHIBALD STENHOUSE Coldstream in loving memory of ANN DAVIDSON his wife who died 20th August 1898 aged 57 years.
Also of three of their children who died in infancy.
Also the above ARCHIBALD STENHOUSE who died 28th August 1912 aged 67 years.
Also WILLIAM their son who died 16th December 1918 aged 42 years.
Commentary
Archibald was born in Yethom and was a Blacksmith. They lived in 4 Market Street west side.
When Archibald Stenhouse was born in 1845 in Yetholm, Roxburghshire, his father, William, was 29 and his mother, Jane, was 26. He married Ann Davidson on 11 March 1870 in Coldstream, Berwickshire. They had four children during their marriage. He died on 28 August 1912 in Coldstream, Berwickshire, at the age of 67.
