In loving memory of my Beloved Husband WILLIAM HERMISTON who died at Crooks Cottages 4^th December 1921 aged 63 years.

Also JAMES ALEXANDER son of the above who died 13^th February 1921 aged 16 years.

Also CHRISTINA WAITE his wife who died 2^nd November 1951 aged 88 years .

And WILLIAM HERMISTON son of the above died 6^th April 1988 aged 87 years.

Commentary

William Hermiston was born in Scotland. In 1901 he was working ‘Orham’ which we think was Downham. His task was as a Ploughman. He had three sons – William, John and James.
