Erected by JAMES DODDS in loving memory of MARY his daughter who died at Coldstream 16th September1884 aged 27 years Also ROBERT CRANSTON his son who died in infancy. Also the above JAMES DODDS who died 7th February 1899 aged 65 years. Also PHILIS CRANSTON his wife who died 2nd November 1919 aged 84 years
Commentary
James Dodds was born at Stitchel (Stichell), a Millwright Master employing 1 Man. In Coldstream, he lived at 4 Jail Close which was where the ‘Streamers Car Park is today. He wife Philis was born at Eccles and daughter Mary was a dressmaker circa 1881.
