In memory of ROBERT FAIR Merchant Coldstream who died 19 January 1820 aged 69 years.

Also MARGARET BROWN wife who died 2 April 1800 aged 36 years.

Also MARGARET sister who died 9 July 1842.

Also MARY BROWN niece who died 30 May 1835.

Also MARGARET PATTISON wife of JAMES HUME who died 17 February 1881 aged 71 years

Commentary

James Hume was a Mason and he and Margaret lived in New Road. ‘The Berwickshire News’ of 1881 indicates that Margaret was 81 when she died. We prefer to take 71 as the age, as the family would know.
