Sacred to the memory of PETER HENDERSON of this Parish who died at North Shields on 26 February 1873 aged 67 years. Also of ISABELLA his wife who died on 20 February 1869 aged 62 years. Also of GEORGE their son who died at Broomhouse on 15 November 1838 aged 4 years. Also MARGARET their daughter who died at Broomhouse 26 May 1841 aged 1 year 3 months. Also WILLIAM their son who died at Newton Barns on 15 July 1853 aged 21 years. Interred at Embleton.
