Erected to the memory of JOHN KERRS cooper and feuar in Coldstream who died 13 October 1835 aged 85 years. And MARY YOUNG his wife who died 26 March 1787 aged 37 years.

Indications are that this couple got married in Tweedmouth on 17 August 1775
