(Leaning forward) Erected by ISABEL SUTHERLAND in memory of CHARLES her son from Edinburgh who died at Coldstream 28th July 1856. Rest of the headstone is unreadable.

Commentary

Isabella Sutherland’s maiden name was Milloy. She married Alexander Sutherland in 1850. She later married Thomas William Jones in Melbourne, Australia in 1857. She died with consumption.
