Erected in memory of JOHN TATE Coldstream who died 27 June 1850 aged 75 years. Also JANE BOLTON his wife who died 16 January 1849 aged 67 years. Also ROBERT TATE his son who died 19 March 1864 aged 54 years.

Commentary

John Tate was born in England and lived in Coldstream in Duns Loan, occupation a Labourer. Son Robert lived in 6 Duns Road, living in a boarding house. his occupation a Mason’s Labourer. (1861 Census)
