Commentary

The 1851 census shows Thomas Ingles in Carvenvett, lanarkshire (born 1771), a retired schoolmaster, living at Tweed Bank with Helen King, House Keeper Servant and Margaret Hume, Housemaid.  In 1841 Thomas lived at Braeheads.
