Mr JEFFREYS Vault' In this vault are deposited the remains of JOHN JEFFREYS Esq. fourth son

of JOHN JEFFREYS of Heatherslaw formerly in the first troop of Horse Granadier(sic) Guards,

and ELIZABETH his wife, daughter of DANIEL PREVEREAU of the city of Westminster Esq.

Upon his quitting the army they left London in 1764(?) & retired to Berwick upon Tweed where she died December 8 1781 aged 70. And on 8 June 1786 he also departed this life in his 85th year.

In memory also of his son WILLIAM HARRIS JEFFREY Esq. formerly a captain in the Horse Grenadier Guards who died at Bath January 16 1809 aged 70 years.
