Erected by William Smith of Ford in memory of Ellen his wife who departed this life 20 October 1867 aged 49 years.

James son of the above William & Ellen. Smith who departed this life October 8 1870 aged 17 years.

Also John Richard who departed this life 9 April 1875 aged 17 years. Also two daughters who died in infancy.

Also William Smith son of the above who died at Low Trewhitt near Rothbury on 28 September 1890 aged 39 years and was interred at Rothbury (Husband of Sarah A Smith).

Also William Smith husband of the above Ellen Smith who died at Ford 17 April 1893 aged 76 yrs.
