Here lies the body of the Reverend THOMAS KNIGHT for fifty two years the revered and beloved Rector of this Parish, who departed unto the mercy of God on Good Friday AD 1872 aged seventy six years.

To the blessed memory of their father this tomb is erected by his children,

"It is written how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things”
