Here lies the body of Rev DELAVAL KNIGHT sometime curate of this parish and incumbent of St Mary at Etal.

Son of the rector of Ford. Born May 23rd 1828 departed this life at Ford July 19th 1881 aged 33 years.

I heard a voice from heven saying nuto me write from henceforth blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.

Even so saith the spirit for they rest from their labours and their works do follow them.

"This stone is placed in affectionate rememberance by the people of this parish of Ford,high and low, young and old, rich and poor, one with another May God be with us all"
