Vicar’s Widow
Mrs Emily Theodora Gooderham of the Croft, Eglingham, widow of the Rev. Abraham Gooderham formerly Vicar of Eglingham and daughter of the late John Ralph Carr-Ellison of Hedgeley, left £13,550 , net personalty £13,478.
She gives the residue of the property as to 1-10 th to the Clergy Orphan Corporation, Newcastle Diocesan Lodge, the Missions to Seamen, the Church Lads’ Brigade, the Vicar of the Parish of Eglingham, Northumberland for the poor, the County of Northumberland Boy Scouts’ Fund, her nephew John Campbell Carr- Ellison, and her nephew, Theodore Ralph Tate Carr-Ellison and 9-10th to her sisters, Violet Caroline Darling and Amy Harriette Carr-Ellison, her niece Rita Emily Currie, her step-mother, Mrs Edith Maude Mary Carr-Ellison, Cuthbert F.C Carr-Ellison, Thomas Fenwicke Clennell Carr-Ellison and her half sister, Edith Fenwicke Clennell Carr-Ellison.
