In memory of WILLIAM WALKER who was schoolmaster of this parish 41 years. He died 5th Sptember 1803 aged 72 years.

Also JANET SPEARS his spouse who died 22nd February 1846 aged 82 years.

On the reverse of the stone

Intered here JOHN WALKER son to WILLIAM WALKER schoolmaster in Eccles who died 21st July 1784 aged 19 years.

Also ISOBLE and BETTY died in their nonage.
