Erected  by ROBERT AITCHISON in memory of JANE SMITH his wife who died 22nd October 1904 aged 48 years. Also the above ROBERT AITCHISON who died at Wark 12th September 1920 aged 67 years. Also JANE BOLTON beloved  wife of the above who died at Wark 23rd July 1935 aged 74 years
