Erected by DAVID MELROSE Coldstream in memory of PETER ALLAN MELROSE his son who died 25th Jany 1895 aged 21 months. Also his son JOHN WILLIAM MELROSE who died  9th Nov 1895 aged 4 years. Also the above DAVID MELROSE who died 14th Nov 1907 aged 58 years. Also MARY ALLAN his wife who died 27th April 1936 aged 85 years. Also SARAH SHORT HARDIE his daughter who died 11th Decr 1966 aged 83 years.  Not lost but gone before.
