Commentary

When Francis Swan was born on 14 August 1878, his father, Francis, was 35 and his mother, Alice, was 34. He married Maggie Dagg and they had two children together. He then married Margaret Ann Trotter on 29 December 1914 in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland. He died on 9 May 1954 in Carham, Northumberland, at the age of 75, and was buried in Cornhill on-Tweed, Northumberland.
