Sacred to the memory of CHARLES SELBY who died at Howtel Dec 20th 1874 aged 80 years. Also ELIZABETH his wife who died at Mardon Nov 24th 1862 aged 63 years. ANN SELBY Grand daughter who died in infancy. Also ANDREW their son and beloved husband of BARBARA SELBY who died at Fenton Town April 2nd 1907 aged 73 years. Also of the above BARBARA SELBY  who died at Pawston June 16th 1912 aged 76 years. Also BARBARA ISABELL daughter of the above who died at Lowick May 24th 1952 aged 76 years.

Commentary

Just a note Charles was born 30 Mar 1793 Duddo, Northumberland. His wife was Elizabeth Elliot but we’ve not found her baptism. Their son was Andrew Elliot Selby b about 1834 near Coldstrean and his wife was Barbara Turnbull b about 1837 at Twizell Mill.
