Erected by WILLIAM HOPE in memory of WILLIAM HOPE his son who died at Kennetsideheads 13th August 1891 aged 11 years. Also GEORGE his son who died at Howlets Ha  23rd October 1908 aged 19 years. Interred at Westruther Churchyard
